Direct Anterior Hip Replacement is a minimally invasive surgical approach that allows surgeons to access the hip joint from the front, reducing muscle disruption. This technique often leads to faster recovery, less pain, and improved mobility. Patients typically experience a quicker return to daily activities compared to traditional hip replacement methods.
Unicompartmental/Partial Knee Replacement is a minimally invasive procedure that replaces only the damaged portion of the knee while preserving healthy bone and ligaments. This approach results in less pain, quicker recovery, and improved joint function, making it an excellent option for patients with arthritis limited to one knee compartment.
Dr. Perricelli is the first surgeon in the Pittsburgh area to offer the Persona IQ® smart knee implant, a groundbreaking technology with a built-in Bluetooth sensor that tracks important recovery metrics such as range of motion, step count, and walking speed. This data helps personalize your recovery plan and keeps your care team informed every step of the way.
