Aaron is a highly skilled and dedicated orthopedic physician assistant with South Hills Orthopaedics. Since 2014, he has worked closely with Dr. Brett Perricelli, playing an essential role in both the operating room and the clinic. His practice focuses on hip and knee replacement and revision surgery, trauma procedures, and hip fracture care. In addition to assisting in surgery, Aaron provides comprehensive patient care in the office, including preoperative evaluations, postoperative follow-up, fracture management, and joint injections. Patients value his approachable manner, thoroughness, and commitment to helping them navigate their treatment and recovery with confidence.
Aaron earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University, where his peers and faculty recognized his exceptional clinical skills with the Outstanding Clinical Award. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duquesne University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Early in his career, Aaron gained broad clinical and surgical experience at Washington Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, where he worked in both the operating room and clinic. He has also worked in urgent care and served as a surgical research technician at UPMC’s McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine, where he supported innovative studies in regenerative therapies. These diverse experiences have shaped his patient-centered approach and reinforced his strong clinical foundation.
Originally from the Uniontown area, he now lives in the South Hills. He and his wife, Erin, are raising two boys and a daughter. Outside of his medical practice, Aaron is known as a true Pittsburgh sports encyclopedia, with a passion for Steelers football, Penguins hockey, and Pirates baseball. He is also deeply involved in his children’s activities, serving as a coach for football, wrestling, baseball, and even dance. A lifelong, never-give-up Pirates fan, Aaron enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to 90’s and 2000’s rock, and a good fitness workout.
